I’m really trying to learn how to better care for my plants. There’s so much to learn & this meter is very helpful across several categories. I didn’t even know such a thing existed! I knew about moisture meters, but this one also measures light, ph, & fertility. I’m thinking of ordering several more so I can better gauge my plants’ various needs instead of just guessing.

I mainly got this meter to tell me the moisture level of my plants. I have a ponytail palm and a money tree that I was worried I was watering too much. Turns out they were losing leaves because they were drying out so quick and I need to be watering them more often than my other plants. Thanks to this meter, my plants won’t wither away from lack of water. Overall, this plant meter is a lifesaver…literally. It is super easy to use and read. Great for beginners.

This soil test meter is a game-changer for my indoor plants. Admittedly, I don’t have a green thumb, and my plants have paid the price. But with this little gadget, I’m hopeful it’ll change their fate by helping me understand exactly what they need. Planning to give it a go in my vegetable garden next spring too. We tested this outbby water and watching the meter. It works, but you have to make sure you water near the meter which may not be automatic when watering a larger plant.
We were testing on indoor window plants and found that no matter the placement, we couldn’t get the sunlight meter to budge.
I don’t know how we would double check the otheIr measurements.
It would be better if all 4 could be measured at once instead of moving a switch.

I love this soil meter and for what I’ve used it for so far it works great! I’ve only used it inside on my houseplants to test them for moisture and light, haven’t tried it on ph so I can’t attest to the accuracy of that yet. I plan on using it this spring when planting some plants that need either a higher or lower ph soil and can give a more accurate review of the ph accuracy at that time. For the things I’ve used it for so far, though, it seems to be very accurate. It’s a nice meter.

I like this for the moisture sensor as I have a tendency to overwater my plants. I have a huge monstera that probably needs to be repotted as the soil is too dense to really see how damp it is. So hoping this will help me back off the watering a little. Some of the other sensors are not useful to me or don’t make much sense

What I Do Not Like:
-I question the reliability of the “fertility” meter, from my understanding it would need to measure nitrogen, phosphorus, etc and I am not sure how/if it does this. Not much info about this in the manuel.
-Not sure how accurate light sensor, I put it directly under our plant light bulb and it says “low-medium” light levels
Would I recommend?
If mostly concerned with pH and moisture would recommend, if need more detailed testing probably want to look into a more accurate meter
