The concept of this tool is excellent and the tool works amazing until the Lego style retainer on the blade side starts popping off. Then it will not stop popping off. This happened about halfway through the front shower door (pretty quick actuall) :-(.
Everytime you use the tool to strip out silicone, the Lego looking retainer pops off and the blade goes sideways. You have to hold the retainer with your finger while you work. This causes scraped and busted knuckles.
This is very unfortunate because the tool is actually pretty amazing until it starts this s@#$.
I guess I will super glue it in place and continue to use until it fails again.

Being brand new to caulking, my first try was a disaster that I lived with for a while, as I didn’t think that I could clean it up. Well, this tool will do it. While I don’t really use the silicon triangle, as my finger works just fine, the other side is perfect for cleanup without damaging your tub. My tub looks brand new after a good clean with this tool and then using a caulking gun after watching some videos on how to do it.

It’s especially useful on silicone caulk where you can’t use the old trick of wrapping a damp rag around your finger and running it down the joint.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works for smoothing inside corners.

THis tool works really well. I am not saying that I did not use anything else to complete the job (during removal I also used a spatula and a flat screwdriver), but it’s a lot of help.
That, and the addedd courage to start these kind of projects I guess…

The edging tool worked decently. Plastic scraper broke right away. Metal works alright, but you will likely need a separate scraper. But still worth it just for the edging tool for a product that’s only $5.

OK, I bought this on a whim from a link off FB. Looked so easy in the videos, right? Turns out it is! You still have to be able to put down a fairly even bead of caulk with your caulk gun, but this tool really does help. I used the heck out of the scraper to remove old caulk. The handle gives you a lot of leverage to scrape, etc.
The triangle corner smoothing end is pretty slick too. Just make sure you have it evenly in the corner and try to pull in one smooth swipe.
I found that the triangle tip works pretty well as a trowel for caulk. The caulk just wipes right off of the tool, so you can very much use it to “shape” your caulk to some extent. As a DIYS guy, I might not pick this tool up again for a few years, but it does work and I was happy I had it on my last project.

If you’re like me, you have a bathroom set up where over time the caulking wears away and turns colors. Well we bought a used house and the previous homeowner had bad DIY skills. The caulking around the tub was falling apart, uneven, and disgusting. So, I needed a tool tht allowed me to easily remove the caulking around the master tub and the guest tub. This was it! I’ve used a different tool that didn’t have a handle like this one before and I didn’t want to go that route. Having a handle and the metal removal tip made it so quick and easy as well as comfortable on my hands to remove caulking. Definitely worth it!

Great value tool, the price cannot be beat. The quality was surprising once receiving it based on the cost. Well made and a must for anyone doing it yourself.

This thing is designed to do two things very well. That’s remove old caulk and smooth out beads of new caulk. I tried it and it performed just as advertised. Probably my best looking shower caulk job I have ever done. Thanks!!
