   I’m 77 and just started using Boka toothpaste. I really like everything about it. My mouth feels fresh and my teeth look and feel cleaner than with any other toothpaste. The flavor is subtle. Doesn’t burn or overpower your mouth. I like not having to use water to brush or rinse.
   Only one concern… this toothpaste contains Xylitol, a sugar alcohol sweetener, which is safe and beneficial for humans but is Very Toxic to dogs. Always keep it well out of reach of your dogs. A tiny amount of Xylitol is toxic to dogs, leading to hypoglycemia and liver failure.

   I am getting older, and I have noticed that my teeth have gotten yellower, even though I am not a coffee drinker. Even getting cleanings at my dentist only help so much these days, and it doesn’t last. I had heard that toothpaste with hydroxyapatite can strengthen tooth enamel, which could really help my teeth, so I bought a tube of Boka Nano Hydroxyapatite to give it a try. What I didn’t expect was that I saw a noticeable difference in the color of my teeth the first time I used it! My teeth did not turn super-white in color, but the kind of yellowness on my teeth that was making me look a lot older had disappeared.

   I gave the “flavor” and “freshness” 4 stars, and that’s probably because I am so used to having a lot of mint flavor in previously used toothpastes. I wouldn’t mind a bit more mint flavor, but the milder mint flavor will not stop me from using this product.

   This whole concept of nHa was extremely attractive to me and I really really wanted to love this product. However, there are several issues which tells me this isn’t quite there yet.
   1. Freshness: This is the most glaring issue with the product. When you brush your teeth you want your mouth and breath to be feeling fresh and Boka fails miserably at this. The Ella Mint is the ‘freshest’ amongst all the flavors we tried but it still leaves a lot to be desired.
   2. Lack of foam forming: While I agree that this may not be a deal breaker for some, being used to toothpastes that form some amount of foam is a psychological assurance that you are actually brushing your teeth. Boka forms no foam whatsoever and what that did for me is it made me use much more quantity of the toothpaste than desired. This combined with the product being fairly expensive just didn’t make it an economic choice.
   3. My wife and I used Boka for 4-5 months. We didn’t really see any visible benefit to using it to justify the price tag. There are products out there without nHA which are natural, fluoride free, etc. which do a much better job in cleaning. We have switched back to Hello Spearmint and are very happy with it.

   I love the simple ingredients in this toothpaste. No fluoride which is great and the taste is minty but not too strong, and still keeps your breath fresh. I haven’t really noticed any whitening properties though.

   Alright, I’ll give you the quick and dirty:

   This stuff is thinner than normal toothpaste and does not bubble as much. This is because it has a different sulfate in it, I think it’s a good thing, but some people do not like that. This flavor, Cherry Blossom, is amazing because it’s super light and inoffensive. It does not taste like perfume (which I was worried it might) but rather a very very light bubblegum almost? My teeth are clean, I have been to the dentist and no new cavities, so I have no complaints.

   My little win:
   My son is almost 5, and autistic, refuses all toothpaste and I mean violently. Watermelon, bubblegum, strawberry, mint. Everything from Hello to Toms to Colgate I mean I have tried everything. Even powder/tablets brands in case it was a sensory issue to paste.

   I have only been able to brush his teeth with water (which obviously is a problem as he is getting older and I do not want his teeth to rot). Well we got this and he doesn’t mind it enough that he lets me brush his teeth with it! I won’t say he likes it (also a good thing, I dont want him eating it), but more it does not taste like much of anything to him. I think the issue is all the prior flavors I mentioned are so intense in toothpaste, and this brand (I bought the mint one for myself too) is generally very light tasting compared to traditional toothpaste. But whatever it is, it works, and now my son will brush with some sort of enamel strengthening toothpaste. As expensive as it is, dental work is way more expensive so 5 stars!

   I’m 59 and have always had super strong, very white teeth. In the last year I had noticed they were becoming a bit translucent and sensitive. I assumed it was aging and loss of enamel. I saw this product and decided to give it a try. It tasted really nice and minty. It is not gritty at all. It leaves a polished feeling on my teeth which is quite pleasant. The biggest change has been to the appearance of my enamel, literally within 3 days I was noting a difference. The sensitivity was much improved and my teeth looked denser…like the enamel was being repaired. They even feel different, in a good way. 2 weeks in and I’m a believer. I’m amazed at the transformation and I would definitely recommend this product. I will definitely continue to use it.

   I have used the tablet toothpaste form without fluoride prior to this toothpaste. It felt like it wasn’t clean enough. Once I went back to paste I wanted to make sure it was fluoride free again. This product has made my teeth feel so clean throughout the day even after meals. It’s been over a week of using this toothpaste and I’m slowly seeing changes in my teeth. My teeth were slowly yellowing, but it’s slowly getting white again. I don’t like using whitening products because my teeth are already sensitive. The calcifications in my teeth looks like they’re getting smaller and I was told by the dentist that they will never go away and it will only get worse as I age. They started getting calcified apparently because I had train track braces when I was in my teens. How that affects me in now my 30s, I have no idea. And speaking of sensitivity, I noticed that I’m not as sensitive as I used to be towards cold/hot foods/drinks.

   I love this toothpaste. I’ve been making the switch to more natural and health supporting products which brought me to this toothpaste.
   I like the minty flavor- it is fresh and light without that intense sting or artificial taste of some of the mainstream toothpaste brands. There’s a common complaint with more natural products that they don’t make you feel as “clean” as some of the other options. That is not the case with this brand. My teeth and mouth feel clean and fresh after using this toothpaste. If you’re looking to make the switch to a toothpaste that’s better for your oral hygiene but doesn’t compromise that clean feeling- this is the brand to try! I’ve had fantastic dental appointments since starting with this toothpaste. My teeth and gums are healthier than ever.

   I’ve used other offerings and I like this the best for the following reasons.

   Best flavor – subtle mint flavor that doesn’t burn my mouth.
   Unlike the others that I’ve used, this toothpaste does lather lightly. Less drooling while brushing.
   I haven’t experienced any separation. Well formulated.

   Actually very pleasant to use.
