I bought this toothpaste because the ingredient list is very good. I like the toothpaste. The only small negative about the toothpaste for me is the stevia. I am not a fan. Xylitol is sweet enough (and actually good for teeth). That said, the taste isn’t overwhelmingly sweet and I can stand it. The major issues with this brand are the packaging and…the packaging. The toothpaste ends up drooling out of the tube regardless of how careful I am. It makes a complete mess of the cap which needs to be cleaned frequently and once oozed more toothpaste out of it upon opening the cap than I would have used to brush my teeth 3-4 times. This is too much product waste, particularly considering the price of this toothpaste. While the above is annoying and wasteful, the other issue is a bit worrisome and, frankly, a head scratcher. Davis seems very proud of their very good ingredients and of being flouride free. Yet, they turn around and package their product in aluminum? I find this odd. They note that some form of BPA-free coating is put between the paste and the aluminum. This begs the question – why use aluminum at all then? I have to assume it is the metal tube which causes the ridiculous mess of the toothpaste oozing out all over the place. Additionally, they give you yet another piece of metal, to help you push the product out at the end. Why all this metal? You certainly wouldn’t need a special piece of metal to push the product out if they hadn’t put their product into a metal tube in the first place. I’m disappointed. I do like this product but will be looking for another toothpaste with the same or similar ingredients which does not come inside a problematic aluminum tube.

Pros-
1. Love that it’s in a metal container because plastic is no bueno and I am glad to be able to reduce my plastic consumption in this way. I also love the metal roller bar doohickey that allows me to squeeze out all the toothpaste. It’s easy to use, too.
2. I have been using this for a while now and have noticed a definite change in the color of my teeth. I am getting older and my teeth were yellowing with age and whatever I was eating that changes the color of your teeth. I noticed the change within just a couple of weeks and it has slowly improved even more over time.
3. I have a small surface cavity, pinprick size, on one of my upper canines. For personal reasons, I have not been to a dentist for awhile, so this was concerning. But it has slowly been shrinking in size since I started using this toothpaste and I feel confident that this will continue.
4. My teeth and mouth feels cleaner, there is no strong after taste, and this feeling lasts until I brush them again in the evening.
CONS
None. I am very happy with this product and have purchased tubes for family and friends. I highly recommend.

This toothpaste cleans, whitens leaving a fresh, clean taste. It is exceptional. After using the 1st few days, I applied the key with no problems (so far). Very pleased. Only Negative: It was poorly packaged. Toothpaste was sticking out from top of envelop. Please teach them how to correctly pack the items.

I was really getting frustrated with Hello toothpaste. The plastic tubing made it so hard to get the toothpaste out once it was less than half full. So, I went on a quest to find similar toothpaste but in a regular tube. I was excited to try David’s toothpaste, not only does it not have fluoride, but it’s also made in the USA! I love supporting our country and its businesses. It saddens me to see so many products made in China now.
There are a couple things you need to know though. The metal the tube is made out of is pretty thin, so a pinhole leak formed as I rolled up the tube with the included tube rolling key and it made a mess not only of my items in the container I store the toothpaste in but on my hands every time I picked it up. The good news is it tastes good, and adding duct tape to the bottom not only hopefully stop the leak, but It keeps the tube rolling key from always slipping off, so that’s good, that had been another annoyance.
Despite the frustrations, I have added it to my subscribe and save subscriptions. Oh, and one more thing, don’t start using the key until you’ve used the tube a few times at least. Unfortunately, I put it on and turned it which increase the pressure and as I opened it to use it the first time it squirted out everywhere. I’d hate to see anyone else make that mistake!

AMAZING!
I’m not one to leave a lot of reviews but in this case I thought I should. I’ve used two other tubes of a different brand(s) of nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste. They were good but did not help an extremely sensitive second molar with an ancient
amalgam filling in it. Seriously, I got this filling in my tooth as a child. It’s almost 40 years old. It started giving me extreme pain when anything touched it. Hot or cold fluids / food were excruciating. Anything, even breathing cold air with my mouth open would hurt. I saw 3 dentists that did x-ray and examine the tooth / gums / integrity of the filling. All 3 did not find any issue and acted perplexed when I told them how painful it felt. I’ve learned to eat and drink with my tongue placed over the tooth to protect it. Any time I’ve slipped and forgot to strategically cover it with the tongue while eating or drinking anything, aside from room temperature water, the pain has brought me to tears. My last attempt to save the tooth is nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste as fluoride based toothpaste for sensitivity did nothing for it. One time of using David’s brand has made an incredible difference in the sensitivity. I was drinking a slightly warm cup of coffee and realized my tongue wasn’t covering my tooth. It took a second drink and let it run over the tooth. Amazed and floored the pain is greatly reduced. It’s slightly there and I’m sure if I tried to eat ice cream it would still hurt at this point but I’m sure over time the sensitivity will be eliminated. People, tooth pain is the one of the great equalizers. I didn’t think I’d be able to get a cleaning done this year due to the pain. My mouth was numbed on the last cleaning about a year ago because I had a get a wisdom tooth extracted right next to it. When they ran that cold rinse over the tooth without the numbing shots , I was ready to scream at the sweet lady cleaning my teeth from the pain. They agreed to cleaning the painful side while numbed before the extraction of the wisdom tooth a week later. I was getting ready for a root canal or extraction this time around. It’s horrible living with tooth sensitivity and pain and I have for over a year. I can’t express how happy I am with this toothpaste. I’m thinking the other HA toothpastes have been remineralizing my teeth as well, but this one is truly amazing for my case. Should anything change I will come back and update. Get your teeth checked out by a dentist if you can for any any extreme sensitivity to be a the safe side, make sure there is no underlying cause. This is gold in a tube for me. A relief from the pain I’ve been in. Hope this helps someone with relief from tooth sensitivity pain.

So let me start this review off by saying it’s amazing and just by it. And now for the skeptical people. I recently went to the dentist after two years and had two fillings done. The bottom was always sore and always caused pain. The doctor said it could’ve been nerve damage. And to avoid another filling, I purchased this instead of my normal toothpaste (big name brand). I was skeptical and thought the same: maybe it’s just a fad, but to my surprise, it’s the truth. The toothpaste comes in a metal tube, and if you’re gentle, it’s going to last the whole tube. It’s a bit more fluid than other toothpastes, but don’t let it fool you. I used a small amount( half a penny) consistently, and I saw results after 3 days. It says it can help rebuild teeth, but for now, it helps to remove the pain and promote a better breath smell. I love it, and no, it’s not too pricy, like how much toothpaste an individual needs. Nonetheless, it is amazing, and I will set up a subscription to this product soon.

My wife and I have tried several different “natural” toothpaste brands and while they were ok, the flavor was lacking in all of them. This David’s toothpaste has a MUCH better flavor than the other brands we have tried. It is very crisp and minty, and leaves your mouth feeling very fresh and clean. I can’t yet speak for the whitening aspect, as we have only been using it a couple of days, but we definitely recommend it for the flavor and cleansing ability.

Davids Nano Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste is a revelation in natural oral care. Its peppermint flavor is refreshingly potent, offering a delightful twist to my daily dental routine. For those with sensitive teeth, this toothpaste provides effective relief without the harshness of fluoride and SLS.
While it might be pricier than your regular fluoride toothpaste, the investment is justified as a little truly goes a long way. The taste is a perfect balance – minty fresh without being overpowering. I usually use BOKA but switched to Davids for its convenient travel-size tube, which was a lifesaver for my carry-on during flights.
After using it twice daily on a two-week holiday, I can confidently say that Davids stands toe-to-toe with BOKA in quality. It’s absolutely worth the hype and the price, especially for those seeking a gentle yet effective natural toothpaste option.

I visited my dentist for regular check up a month ago. Even with what I consider very good home care, sadly I had one “soft” spot on a molar at gumline which was “sticky” on probe. I was scheduled for a small filling in one month. However, I have a friend who is a dental hygienist, at a different office, who strongly recommended I use nano hydroxyapotite toothpaste to help “heal” small enamel lesions. As I have great anxiety in the dental chair under the drill, I ordered David’s Toothpaste (after doing a bit of internet research). I used it faithfully twice a day for 3 weeks with an electric toothbrush, brushing for 1 minute, then letting the toothpaste sit in my mouth without rinsing (after spitting excess). On first use I noticed a significant “clean” feeling in my teeth. In 3 days I noticed a distinct whitening in my teeth together with less sensitivity. At the one month filling appointment, my dentist re-checked the area (at my request) and stated it was absolutely resolved. There was no longer any softening in the enamel, no further sticking with the dental probe. Clean, hard enamel stood in its place. I told them that I’d been using nano-H toothpaste. My dentist highly recommended it saying it was well known to remineralize the enamel and “heal” small lesions at the gumline. In a prior office she worked at, they actually sold nanoH to patients (but not at this office). A number of patients did not need fillings when using it. Why they hadn’t told me to begin with, after discovering this small lesion, is another question (I suspect the office policy at this practice)….however, I can whole heartedly recommend David’s Toothpaste for remineralizing your teeth and preventing, and even “healing,” gumline enamel lesions. It won’t help if you have severe dental disease and loss of enamel, but it will keep you out from under the drill with regular use. I’m totally sold. I’ve had personal proof and two dentists recommend nanH for stronger teeth and reduced cavities, and even “healing” of small carries, especially at the gumline. From my research I recommend David’s for purity and rod-shaped nanoH which is safer. Five stars!!!!
