I bought this as an additional thermometer for my reef tank and because no wires were needed. I like the clean look and this gives you that. It’s as accurate as any high end probed thermometer is. They give it a .9 degree offset, but I’ve tested with a Laser Therm. and Wired Therm. but there is not a variance from any of them and they all read the same temp. I never liked the idea of sticking things to the outside glass of my tank as it takes away from whats inside but this is the diamerter of a silver dollar so being small it doesnt look bad.
My only drawback and wish is that it does not read out the temp all the time without tapping the screen. If it did that, I would love it even more.

So let’s go into some details on this.
These things are not perfectly accurate. They take a reading from the outside of your tank. So technically they read the temp of the glass.
They are not 100% accurate. My heater in my tank is pretty near accurate. Within .5 of a degree. But it’s in the dead center on my 75 gallon and my 2 thermometers from this listing are on the left and right sides. I wanted multiple readings since my tank is 4’ long.
After checking each side with a mercury thermometer I can say these are CLOSE. About 2 degrees off from the actual temp, so if you take that into account, they can be used. (Example. These read 76 degrees. My tank IS 78 degrees even though these read 76, in my head i just add 2 degrees to them)
They are nice looking. They have a power button, which when you hit it, turns the screen on for 5 seconds. They re-read each time but the sensor needs time to adjust to a new temp just like any thermometer. Screen is easy to read. Numbers are big.
Overall 4/5 because the reading is incorrect. But it is consistently incorrect. So the product is usable.

Works great on my small 3.5 gallon fish tank. It is very easy to read and accurate, and the adhesive works great. I like that the display turns off after a few seconds. Just touch it to get an accurate temperature reading. Highly recommend

Very simple to attach to the aquarium glass. The temperature reading is large and bright. In short, I’ve owned a number of aquariums of varying sizes and is thermometer is hands down the best I’ve ever owned.

Great thermometer. Easy to apply and stick on the outside of tank. It doesn’t look ugly or take away from tank aesthetics. It actually looks good! Easy to use. Just give it a tap and temp is displayed then it goes back off. Which I love. It’s not annoying and it saves batteries. It’s small enough and big enough. It’s just right.

Have had this for 3-5 days now. Doesn’t suction to the tank but sticks with 3m sticker paper on the back. 3m is a good brand and i love it has not fallen off or slipped at all! I have changed the temp of the tank a few times on the heater to see if it would read about where i put the in tank heater at and it does. It reads temp on the outside of the glass thru a metal button on the back. Very easy to read and convenient especially at night or early in the morning. I do wish it had a few more features like min. and max temps for the price though just what i was looking for and works great!

This has worked great on my 20 gallon fish tank. Seems accurate comparing to other thermometers readings. Great price. I used double sided tape which wasnt included to help it stick to the tank. Definitely recommend.
