I’m getting older and I have a huge yard that was neglected years before I bought the house. I have sections of the yard where some of the grass looks good and some sections are weeds and moss. For dandelions it’s awesome. Hands down I want to do my neighbors’ yards because I pulled all of mine. It pulls other weeds as well. Works great on wide weeds with long stems. It doesn’t seem to be so effective on weeds like clover, that have shallow, sideways roots. It’s somewhat effective on the onion grass. It takes multiple attempts. Overall it’s great because I had an operation on my hand. With this tool, I don’t need to bend down, or pull with my hand. I will buy another to keep at my parents house.

I am giving this weed tool 5 stars because when you know HOW and WHEN to use it, it is super effective. Here are some tips…
Don’t use this on super wet soil or right after it rains… if you do, you will find the tool constantly getting clogged with mud and pulling out way more soil than just the weed itself
For smaller weeds, don’t push the weed tool down as deep to avoid pulling out more soil than is needed. If its a big weed, you’ll need to push it in all the way.

Super easy to use. Step on the middle of a weed, rock toward the thing that sticks out, and voila! Weed gone. No bending over (my wife and I are in our 60s and we’d prefer to do weeding standing up).
I can’t comment on durability, as we’ve only used it a few times. But we are very happy. Much better than the other ones we have had

The device is solid and pulls the weed without bending over the vast majority of the time. I think it depends on the type of weed. Dollar weed is pulled successfully 100% of the time. Very satisfying 🙂 Crab grass gets pulled entirely out maybe 90% of the time. This is acceptable to me and still very valuable since I pull quickly without much effort (e.g. bending over dozens of times).
The 4 stars is because the only missing feature is a weed ejection system. Once the weed is pulled, it is not easy to take out, especially if the ground is moist (hard mud). A system to push the pulled material out of the metal claws would be great!! I end up having to step on the weed while still in the claw and lifting up so the weed is removed from the device. Depending on mud consistency I also have to dirty my hands to get the soil out of the claws to get it ready for the next weed engagement.
Overall still a very good buy in my opinion!

Super easy, Super efficient, Super tool! 1st 5 pictures of the steps for one weed I pulled. Last couple to show the roots it pulled out.
Worked like a charm. Caveat…my experience with the tool was in March in Oregon, 3 or 4 days after the last rainfall. Don’t know exactly what kind of weeds are in my pictures, but sure Worked for those. There were also so “grassy” weeds in a landscaped area covered with rocks….kicked some of the rocks out of the way, and it worked on those too.

Very easy to use. Does the job of avoiding bending down for the most part. Still a little wet and muddy under grass when I used for the first time today. So had to clean mud off occasionally. But soft ground also made tool easy to use. Sometimes pulls up more grass and sod with the weed than I would prefer. Overall, I would recommend.

This tool is absolutely amazing! Such a well-built, simple design that truly works. My 92-year-old mother uses it easily. The only thing that would make it better is if it had a mechanism to release the weed once it has been pulled. Even so, it’s worth 5+ stars as it is.

I will say first off this thing is pretty amazing. It has made pulling weeds so much easier with this rather warm winter, I I have plenty. The only small issue, the .5 points off, is often times the space between metal “spikes” gets stuck with mud and rocks. Simple fix of course, but it does slow the process down a little bit. Would definitely recommend however.

I knew when I took this out of the box that I would love it. It is so well made and sturdy. I really hate yardwork. This tool really makes it easy to pull big bad weeds. I am 75 and it is so easy to handle. I put a big dent in those pesky weeds the first day I used this tool. This tool is well worth the money. I would recommend it anyone.
