Gets the job done–particularly if you have the PetSafe self-cleaning box.
So–I bought the combo boxes of this for a long time. My wife just didn’t want me to have to deal with the additional steps of cleaning out a permanent box, changing things out, etc. etc. I just… did it for a long time without thinking much about it. Then, we added a second cat–and I needed to start changing the litter box with a lot more frequency. I took a look around and saw that PetSafe sold the litter in both lavender and it’s little blue form.So–I scooped some of these up. It inevitably led me to the inescapable conclusion that I should buy a “permanent” box and stop buying the cardboard boxes. I mean–they are SERIOUSLY easy to clean, transition, etc. But with two cats, it was an absolute waste to have that insanely hardy box being replaced 2x a month. So–we transitioned.The litter absorbs pretty well. I have two Persians, and for the most part, it does not cling. The size of the granules seems to sift fairly well with the accompanying PetSafe self-cleaning box that we had originally bought. The grates seem to work with it effortlessly. I’ve tried a few different brands of litter from the store seeking something that works as well for a lower price. I have yet to find… something better.The biggest complaint is how much the litter does dissolve down and become this disgusting, fine mesh of silt after the urine has soaked down into it. It can be slightly challenging to clean, but honestly… I’ve cleaned every version of litter around, and this is the least of my possible concerns. It smells fine. It cleans up from the floor fairly well when the cats DO track it out of the box sometimes. It’s just–fine. It does feel like it is slightly expensive, but for whatever reason–the market has chosen not to explore the crystal version of cat litter with any degree of diligence. I have maybe 1-3 options from different chain stores. Walmart has this REALLY FINE crystal stuff that is cheap, but less absorbent–way more of a mess. Publix has these crystals that are almost 3-4x larger than the PetSafe ScoopFree stuff, and they get in the way of the grates. Surely, someone else could come up with a similarly sized product. I’m sure it would get the job done–and yet… no one does.Anyways–its solid. I buy it on a subscription. My cats tolerate it. It is fine.

Life changing litter for me!
I would’ve rate this 4 1/2 stars. But options weren’t available for me. We’ve had our cat for almost two years and tried the granuel litter. It was frustrating and I often had to change it every few days. Even if I scooped the poop out. The smell would remain and it was a grainy mess let me just say, it was frustrating! When we got PetSafe ScoopFree Crystal Cat Litter. I will be honest, I was a little skeptical that it would make a difference. Let me say: Day and night. The smell was nice, a little strong when you first put it in the tray, but not bad. I highly recommend it with an auto scooper for less stress on you. It has made a world of difference for me. I have so much going on and it really eases my stress so much. With the combination of the self cleaner and this litter I only have to clean it every 3-4 weeks. For me that is amazing! Plus kitty is so happy. The litter does get a little yellow by the third to fourth week for my cat. Other than that the self cleaner does a great job at scooping all the waste under the little door lid. Hope this helps. I will continue buying this product for sure.

Goodbye odor
I have very picky cats and they like it! So great in wicking odor, no residue at the bottom of the litter box. Litter lasts much longer so value is there despite the cost. One issue is thst it is also very fun for cats to throw everywhere, so there is that.

Would be 5 stars if not so expensive
This non clumping litter works great in our petsafe robot box. We have the stainless steel pan you can refill. Originally, we used half a bag for the pan, and that lasted about 3 weeks for our one cat before it started smelling. Now we use 1 whole bag for a month and don’t have any odor issues. It absorbs the urine and dries the feces so that the robot can roll the feces away. That’s why you can’t get clumping litter, it will stick to the mechanism. But this is so expensive the litter feels like an absolute scam. Looking into other non clumping options to see if they work. I can’t imagine how much you would be spending on this litter if you have more than 1 elderly cat who doesn’t go that often.

Accidently order this is litter & will now use nothing else !!
First and foremost, I ordered this litter on accident and it was the best mistake ever. I ran out of my regular high end brand of crystal cat litter and needed something quick as I was leaving out of town. With 3 cats I needed clean boxes or the smell when I got back would have been overwhelming. When I opened the door, after a few days away, you could not even tell the boxes hadn’t been scooped for a few days. This litter is great!! I would love to try the automatic cat boxes but they are a bit out of my price range, but the litter itself is Awesome and I will order it for my cats going forward.

Fantastic litter
This litter is a game changer when it comes to pouring it in the litter box as it’s not dusty like clay litter. You’re only scooping the feces and stirring the litter that’s left in the box. You don’t have to worry about cleaning out the urine as well, just stir and be done. My cat doesn’t track it all over the house. I’ve got a tall litter box with a lid on the top with holes on one end and the big hole for him to go in and out of. The little amount of litter left on his feet come off on top the litter box and fall back down the holes. Literally virtually no litter tracking. It’s super easy to clean out his litter box after about a month or so, no more than 6 weeks I’d recommend, unless you’ve got a multi cat home. Then definitely every 4 weeks or so. My one cat has three litter boxes as he likes to hang out in our garage and two of the bedrooms, so he’s always got one available. We don’t have to change the boxes litter every month but more on the side of every 6-8 weeks.All in all I can definitely say I recommend this litter.

Petsafe litter & box is life-changing
We wanted an electric cat box without spending several hundreds of dollars, so we decided to go with PetSafe. WE HAVE LOVED IT FOR OVER A YEAR NOW! I figured at this point I should probably leave a review since I always read reviews on Amazon and they help me to decide what I’m going to purchase and what I’m not going to purchase. A couple of times I have gotten the silly idea to try cheaper crystals in it, but they just don’t work as well. We have 2 cats and I literally do nothing with their cat box except for empty and clean it once a week. The PetSafe crystals cost about the same amount traditional clay clumping litter cost us changing the box once a week and you could smell the clay stuff even with me scooping it everyday and emptying it once a week. Our friends have commented on not being able to smell cat or cat box at all in our house since we got it and I don’t have to scoop or mess with it anymore. I highly recommend using this litter box and litter. We’ll never use anything else.

Works fine but large sharp crystals
The litter works like it should but our kitty ends up tracking it everywhere and it’s absolutely awful to step on. I was worried about her paws with it so switched to round crystals. It is nice that it comes in a pre measured package for the pet safe litter boxes but I also found that it wasn’t quite enough and didn’t fill the box as much as I would like.

The bags are smaller than expected
I know the litter is lighter weight than clay so the weight didnt signal anything to me about how much Id get. I got these bags hoping to be able to put one in each of my 2 xl litter boxes for my 2 cats. Unfortunately 1 only covers about half an inch in one of those boxes. Im sure they would work better for smaller boxes, especially self cleaning types, but its going to take 2 to fill one of my boxes.Update: its been 2 weeks. I really like how easy it is to just scoop solid waste. It motivates me to clean the boxes more often. I will say that the lavender scent is really weak. I smell cat waste any time i go into my basement and I clean them almost every day. I got 2 orders of this at one time, both Lavender scent. One order was much more purple than the other one. I am wondering if they do not put consistant parts of purple+white in each shipment. Going to try blue next to see if it covers scent better.

Pros and cons
It seems to last about 3 weeks without odor…another brand I used lasted longer. There are advantages to crystals because you just stir the urine and it disappears and fecal matter dries quickly and odor free. Best kitty litter
So I used to use this product with my electric kitty litter habitat and it worked really well with my two cats. We stoped using it because we got it with the refill box and it was expensive. So since we got rid of the kitty litter habitat and only use it with a regular open box it has been cheaper. I have two cats and this to me, works best. No dusty, clumpy kitty litter. Also no smell and easy to scoop out,

OMG!!!! Let me tell you, this is one of the greatest litter I ever bought. Loved it. I got 3 packs coz I have 3 cats. So I use so many different varieties of litter but never satisfied, because I don’t like the clump.. crystal litter is the first type I ever used , there are some other brands but expensive and I don’t wanted to spend money and get no results so after switching different brand litter I gave this one a try. Trust me. I work all day and even if I skip 1 day without scooping out the poop it still stay clean .. so no more worries . I am just waiting to see how long it last . But so far GREAT!!!

All cats don’t like it
I love this litter. However my cat wasn’t a fan of it . I read one review where it said mix it with they clay litter till they get use to it Well that work problem is now he only wants it that way if it’s not mixed he’s not using it not even the litter he was previously using . So I spend a little more but know more smells and my finicky cat is happy I highly recommend this litter again it’s not for all cats my daughter tried it and her cat refuses to go in the litter box not even when she tried to mix it

NEVER BUYING ANOTHER KIND OF LITTER….EVER
I have three cats. I looked at the product and thought, “Hmmm, that is kind of expensive for so little.” I ordered it anyway. Holy sweet purple baby bottoms! It absorbs so well that my litter boxes look like they have not been used. It dries up the poop into hard clumps and completely absorbs the urine. I used to think I was going to have a life of changing boxes every day due mostly to the urine. Not now. No big urine clumps, no dark wet litter that stinks up the whole house. I am buying some every week and stocking up. Seriously…buy it!

Game changer
I love this litter. It dries everything up so there is no smell. And removing the poop is easy. Just make sure you have at least 3 inches and you stir the litter really well everyday. It does last for 30 days for one cat. If you don’t stir it around the urine won’t dry out and then it will be gross.

Amazed at the difference
We’ve always used litter. The dust it creates, & clean up took alot of time each day. My handsome guy Mateo, drinks & urinates alot. This causes the litter to go quickly. My hair dresser recommended silica. The difference is huge! Little if any yucky fragrance, the urine is absorbed. Hence the only scooping is poo. The 2 bags are good for a month, so it’s less costly.

The best little I have used
I love the smell of the lavender , I have 2 cats and the lavender scent seems to calm them. The crystals are 100% better than clay for your cat. And a lot easier to scoop .for my cats I prefer the crystals because it is cleaner even though it costs a few cents more.

The best I’ve tried so far. My cat came from a barn so his poops were awful. Got a standard cat litter for him and it did nothing for the smell. Got this and I still have to clean it everyday but after I clean it out it doesn’t smell anymore. I have a regular litter box and it’s good

Great crystal litter. Works well with the automated PetSafe ScoopFree litter box.
I use this litter with the ScoopFree automated litter box, with a reusable plastic tray.Pros:-It’s blue and fun to use. There’s also a purple version, which is very pretty, but I haven’t tried it.-After switching from clumping litter to this PetSafe crystal litter, and I noticed the odor levels have drastically decreased.-Works well with the automated litter box.Cons:-The amount of litter in each package isn’t quite enough to achieve the depth I prefer. The coverage seems a little thin. If the packages were 30% larger, that would provide better coverage, and it may extend the time between cleanings.-After a few months, the reusable plastic tray in my litter box has been stained purple. The ammonia from the urine mixed with the blue coloring in the litter must produce the purple stains. It’s not a big deal since nobody sees the inside of the litter box, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It makes me wonder if using the purple version of the litter would exaggerate the problem.-It could be cheaper. I get a slight discount for auto-renewing my order, but the litter is still more expensive than most clumping litters. But it’s not quite as expensive as “Pretty Litter,” another brand of crystal litter.How long does it last?I only have 1 cat, so I don’t know how well this litter holds up with multiple cats, but the automated litter box keeps track of how often it is used.At about 70 uses, the litter is probably ready to be changed.At about 100 uses, the litter is stinky enough to be noticeable througout the house.I’m a cheapskate and I tried to cut costs by using by cheaper clumping litter in the automated litter box, but the clumping litter was dustier, which caused the the moving parts to get squeaky and move with more effort. Switching back to PetSafe litter helped the litter box run much smoother. (I wish I had never tried the clumping litter in the automated box!). So the PetSafe litter is a MUST when using the ScoopFree automated litter box.Overall, I recommend this litter for regular and automated litter boxes. It’s fun to use due to the blue color, keeps odors down, and works wonderfully with my automated litter box.

We purchase these to use in a reusable pan with our auto cleaning litter box.They work well, and make the machine more affordable to use. My teen is in charge of cat box (they are his cats) and forgets sometimes so it goes a few days longer than it should, but there is still no strong odor even when he’s a few days behind, so I do like that.This would also be good for a regular litter box. I would compare this to the Tidy Cats crystal litter.Overall would recommend.

Game changer for me!
I bought this on a hope and a prayer at first. I am still using this. I was using the regular cat littler and had not ever tried anything else. But I got to the point that changing the cat little was just the worst thing ever and I would put it off and dread it sooooo bad. I got to looking around and found this. I have one cat. I can use this for about 3 weeks if i scoop the little about every other day and move it around after I scoop. It doesn’t get that awful strong ammonia smell like the regular stuff. It doesn’t clump like that either. It does clump but only if you wait to long to change it. I can’t say enough about it. I love it. Will keep buying!

Looks better the gray litter
They come with the “purrfect” amount pre-measured in the bag for when you are ready to change out the litter box. Simple open and pour into your tray.

Great for Automated Litterbox
We use a Littermaid automated litterbox which you’re supposed to use with clumping litter. The problem with that is the litter attaches itself to the cleaning tines and just makes a mess. This crystal litter is much better, as liquid runs to the bottom and gets absorbed, and solid waste is easily removed. It is NOT as absorbent as traditional cat litter, so you may end up changing the litterbox a little more often.

You win some you lose some
Honestly, this is an amazing deodorizer. I hate it by itself, the pee just pools when absorbed by the crystals, however, when mixed in with your litter of choice, it honestly does wonders. My bathroom doesn’t smell like ammonia anymore, and the two bags can last you a bit longer when mixed in:)

Absorbent!
I bought these after purchasing a PetSafe litter box. The litter box came with a starter bag. I purchased these and decided to order the clear, no-scent bags going forward because the kitty I recently adopted is 14 years old, and was afraid something with a fragrance might not be a good idea for her. I honestly didn’t smell anything when opening new bags in the blue or clear.I don’t know if I could use any other litter in the model litter box I bought.

finally true low tracking crystals
for me the most important is the tracking, i tried so many different brands and the ones that worked best the cats hated. finally tried this one, the lavender version, the cats did not complain and the tracking is very very low. no more crystals in my living room!

I like best but not the cats
Cats will use, and I like the larger particles that don’t track everywhere and aren’t as dusty, but cats still perfer the scoopable litter and use it the most. So if you have picky cats…don’t know, beware, and have both for awhile.

Favorite litter out of 10 others
I have yet to find a loose rock around the house, does not smell, no clumping, no mess and lasts about 2 weeks for 1 cat.

Works good.
We have tried 7 or 8 litters and this cuts down on the cat smell and is easy to clean up. The granules are hard on our feet when we step out of the shower.

WOW!!
I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to switch to crystals! I have 2 cats and have to scoop their box at least once a day with my old litter and it was mostly huge clumps of urine. This litter though…..let me tell you…..it’s a game changer!! I still have to scoop the poops but the urine is completely dehydrated. I give the crystals a little shuffle and it’s fresh again! I’m so happy and I know my cats are too!!

OMG NO MORE LITTER STINKIES!!!
This was AMAZING!!!!! Tried it and mixed with regular litter! My cats are TOOOOOOO happy! I have a 5 cat home and this litter was a life saver!!!!! You can no longer smell litter in my home at all!

So far (a week in) love this litter!! Not nearly as dusty as others we have tried! This reminds me of the chewy brand Crystal litter also a great litter but got this because chewy was out of stock. Will buy again if it lasts well!

I mean it’s cat litter…
Hands down the best purchase we made was their reusable metal little tray. We love our automatic litter and the lavender is the best one! With two cats we lose the scent about a week in so we would love stronger odor elimination.

1 bag = 2 weeks (single cat)
If you share your restroom with your cat, you’ll notice that there’s no odor for up to two weeks, especially when compared to natural clumping pellet litter. The urine remains in the litter and you will start to notice an ammonia smell after about two weeks. Since the litter doesn’t provide any nutrients, there is no bacterial growth. But it is costly, this is where 1 star is off.
