I received my magnet cleaner, flung it in the tank, swooped it all around the glass… and noticed that is sank when pulled apart. Bummer!
BUT THAT’S LITERALLY WHAT IT SAYS IT DOES ON THE PACKAGE! 😂
I wanted a floater version, but oh well… I got exactly what I ordered, so I can’t leave a bad review.
What can I say? It does what it’s supposed to… even comes with an interchangeable cleaning pad for the inside. One stiffer brush type for glass and a soft felt one for glass or acrylic. Absolutely zero complaints, other than in my reading abilities.
I don’t like leaving them in the tank, so I just pull it to the top and grab the inside part off the glass. No big deal. I can definitely live with it, especially considering like I said earlier… it’s exactly what I ordered. You may like this sinking version, and I guess it has it’s advantages… so if you do like the sinking ones, this here is for you!

I was skeptical as I was buying it, but it was inexpensive and I thought what the hell. Glad I did, because it’s worth every penny! It has two different scrubbers for glass and acrylic. It is fairly light, but the magnets are very strong! The design is sleek and user-friendly. I have only used it once. After the first use, I noticed the acrylic scrubber frayed a small bit. When using it, be sure the magnets are aligned properly and that you move it slowly as you wipe your walls clean.

Very strong magnet and cleaner. It does the job very well. Use on my 55 gallon and it works great. Corners are a little harder since it is a bigger one. But rarely does it come apart to where I have to fish it out myself of the tank.

I love this tank cleaner. I have an acrylic bow front tank which can make cleaning it with a wand difficult. This makes it easy to scrub back and forth with the powerful magnetic scrubber. The magnet holds well and I just leave it attached in the tank when not in use. I would buy this again, and that is the downfall of this product. I purchased this because of the manufacturers claim that you don’t need to buy a whole new cleaner and you can purchase new clip on scrubbers. You get one scrubber for glass and one for acrylic with the tool. Unfortunately I was not able to source these replacements scrubbers at our big box pet store or Amazon (even with help from an Amazon associate). You need to get them from the manufacturer from what I have found. That said, it is still a great cleaner at a great value. My first one lasted over three years before the scrubber lost efficiency.

I noticed we were getting some algae spots on the front of our tank and I will never clean the glass any other way after using this! I got a medium for a 40 gallon and it had the front of my tank sparkling in minutes. Super easy to use and I rinsed it off with hot water for future use.
